Spay/Neuter Resources
SPAY/NEUTER & WELLNESS: Shamrock Foundation: For pets that need spay/neuter and wellness services, you can request a voucher from the Shamrock Foundation to receive a spay/neuter voucher. To request a voucher call Shamrock at (502) 585-3220. Be sure to leave a DETAILED message including your name, number and that you need help with spay/neuter for your pet.
SPAY/NEUTER: Kentucky Humane Society: If you cannot afford to spay/neuter your pet, KHS (Kentucky Humane Society) offers free Spay/Neuter for income qualified pet owners. Call the KHS Helpline at (502) 509-4738 and request a “Financial Fix’ Application.Assistance is limited, so you will need to speak with one of their Pet Resource Counselors to see if you qualify for assistance.
SPAY/NEUTER (For Bully Breeds): Kentucky Humane Society: If you own a dog that is considered a ‘bully’ breed (Ex. American Pit Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers, Bullmastiffs, Staffordshire Terriers, Boston Terriers, Boxers and French Bulldogs), then the Kentucky Humane Society SNIP Clinic offers free spay/neuter. Please call the KHS Helpline at (502) 509-4738 and ask about the free pit bull surgery.

Kentucky Humane Society Covid Pet Food Bank 2020: Pet food assistance is available to qualifying pet owners who first fill out a COVID-19 Pet Food Assistance Application. Due to staffing limitations, pet owners must first fill out the online application. A Pet Help-Line counselor will call to gather information and explain the program.
